No problem. You use KanguNet anywhere in North Amerca

a local number when you install KanguNet or change the

I share my KanguNet CD with a friend?
You can share your access code, but then you’re
sharing your minutes.

What
are the minimum system requirements to use KanguNet?
For the CD version:
• 486/33 processor
• Windows® 95 operating system
• 8 MB RAM memory
• 14 MB hard drive space if you have already installed
a recent browser version. Otherwise you'll need about
50 MB so that you can install an Internet browser.
• 14.4 Kbps modem

How
do I connect to the Internet using KanguNet?
It's easy:
1. Insert the CD on the
tray of your computer.
2. Enter the username and password found inside your
KanguNet package.
3. Choose your city for the dialing from the drop down
menu.
4. Click ok and wait until fully installed.
5. Double click on the KanguNet icon found on your desktop.
6. Click the connect button and surf the Internet.

Do
I need my CD every time I use KanguNet?
No. The CD is only required
the first time that you log into KanguNet. If you plan
to install KanguNet onto another computer you'll need
to keep the CD.

How
do I find a local access number?
KanguNet offers local and
toll-free Internet access from anywhere in North America.
You may choose either when you install KanguNet, and
you can change the access number whenever you need to.
Maximize your minutes by choosing a local access number;
it's the most minutes for your money. It is, however,
up to you to ensure the number provided qualifies as
a local call with your telephone company.

How
do I know how many minutes I have left?
Each time you connect to
the Internet with KanguNet, a popup will appear at the
bottom right of your screen displaying how many minutes
you have remaining from the beginning of your session.
When you're down to 5 minutes, the KanguNet popup will
remain open until your minutes are over. In this case
you will need to purchase a refill of KanguNet.

Will
my minutes ever expire?
Your unused minutes expire
up to 1 year after they were activated.

do I disconnect?
Click the KanguNet connection icon in the bottom right
corner of your screen and select Disconnect from the
menu. Or, you can close Internet explorer and KanguNet
will prompt you to stay connected or to disconnect.
You may choose in the options box to automatically disconnect
from the Internet after 20 minutes of inactivity. This
will help you save KanguNet minutes.

It's easy. Just select a local access number for your

forgot/ lost my username and password. What should I
do?
Your access code is printed inside the packaging. Since
KanguNet is anonymous there is no other way to retrieve
this information.

1. Click the KanguNet icon on your desktop.
2. Click Properties
3. Check disable call waiting and chose *70, from the
drop down menu.
4. Click OK.

I get an e-mail account with KanguNet?
Yes, KanguNet users get one e-mail account, accessible
via webmail or a POP3 client. Go to www.KanguNet.com
and click on create an e-mail account in the email signup
box on the left side of your screen. Follow the on screen
instructions to choose an e-mail address.

I check my e-mail from any computer?
Yes, you can check your e-mail from any computer using
any Internet connection. KanguNet supports webmail and
POP3 e-mail. Just go to www.KanguNet.com and enter a
username and password to access your e-mail.

Do
I have to change the settings on my computer to use
KanguNet e-mail?
No, KanguNet e-mail is web based and therefore does
not require any changes made to your computer in order
to check your existing e-mail. If you want to use a
mail program like Outlook Express® or Eudora®
then follow the directions in the mail program's help
files. Your username and password are the same as your
webmail.

How do I select the web page my browser
starts on?
You can point your browser to start on any web page that you
want. It's helpful to choose a site with the information that
you need regularly, such as news headlines, search functions,
stock tickers, etc. These sites are known as portals. To save
a start page, select your browser and follow the instructions
below.

1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options
2. On the General tab in the Home page section, click Use
Current
3. Now your browser will open to the current page each time
you start it.

1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences
